Gibbon Conservation Center
Located in Santa Clarita, the Gibbon Conservation Center is the only facility in the world devoted exclusively to gibbons, an increasingly rare ape. GCC houses nearly 40 gibbons, among them 5 of the 13 living species. Offers educational tours.
Safari West
Nestled on 400 acres in the heart of California's wine country 65 miles north of San Francisco, Safari West is home for over 400 exotic mammals and birds. Not a zoo, not a drive-through park, it's a wildlife preserve where the whole family can experience some of nature's most beautiful animals in a natural habitat.
Children's Museum/Museo de los Niños
The San Diego Children's Museum focuses on the arts as education. Through performances, installations, and exhibits, the Museum, visitors are able to interact with the exhibits.
California Department of Education Private School Affidavit
This California DOE website section lists the guidelines for submission of the Private School Affidavit. There is an online form to complete by new schools or schools with five or fewer students.
CA-Homeschooling-HSC
An all-inclusive online community discussing all issues of homeschooling. This community is sponsored by the HomeSchool Association of California, HSC, an inclusive, non-profit group. Offers lively discussions, sharing of ideas, and HSC's news about fun get-togethers that you and your family can attend together: group camp-outs, and other events like the widely acclaimed California Home=Education Conference, as well as support groups and activities in your area.
Mind Explorers
Mind Explorers is an eclectic, non-sectarian homeschool support group of Napa Valley. Offers ideas, activities, and homeschooling discussions.

Learning Circle Cooperative Homeschool Support
The Learning Circle Homeschool Support Group is an inclusive group partially sponsored by Trinity Lutheran ISP. Homeschool families of varying religious or educational philosophies are members. Serves all homeschool families in San Benito County and adjoining counties.
Coyote Point Museum
The Coyote Point Museum for Environmental Education in San Mateo offers a 4,000 square foot walk-through Aviary, a honeybee exhibit, river otters, and much more.
Lionheart Fitness Kids
These unique sports classes are designed to bring out the best in students in a fun non-competitive environment. The structured program teaches the necessary fundamentals of sports in a stress free environment. They develop strength, fine and gross motor skills, coordination, balance and social skills, always instilling the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Sierra Homeschool Network
A homeschool support group open to all families in Nevada, Placer and Yuba Counties of California. The group offers support, and activities to families who are homeschooling or just considering homeschooling.
Homespun Learning
Homespun Learning is a no-cost secular cooperative group open to active homeschooling families living in or near Yolo County, California, including the cities of Davis, Dixon, West Sacramento, Winters, and Woodland and towns in the Capay Valley. Citizens of this co-op community both organize and participate in a range of activities open to all members based on interest and ability.
