Tutoring
Parents with a valid teaching credential can act as tutors for their children, or parents may employ a credentialed teacher. However, tutors and parents who choose to tutor their own children must fulfill all of the requirements of §48224.
YoHoAnnounce
This list is for the posting of announcements and discussion of interest to homeschooling families living in or near Yolo county, including Davis, Woodland and West Sacramento. All Ways Learning-Inland Empire is an inclusive park day/support group open to all families who are currently homeschooling or who are considering this educational option. Weekly park days are held in Redlands, CA. Families currently participating live in Redlands, Highland, Yucaipa and other surrounding San Bernardino & Riverside County cities.
Sunland Christian School (SCS)
Sunland Christian School (SCS) is an evangelical Christian ministry operating to serve families who desire to teach their own children at home by providing accountability, resources and counsel. They are accredited with the National Independent Study Accreditation Council (NISAC). They offer classes, record keeping services, field trips, seminars, achievement testing, summer school, a high school program, high school graduation, and more.
Tri-City Homeschoolers
Tri-City Homeschoolers (TCH) is an informal community of homeschooling families in the Fremont-Union City-Newark area. They are an inclusive, secular group, and they welcome all homeschoolers regardless of race, religious orientation, or homeschooling program. The group offers weekly park days, an annual Talent Show, an annual Games Day, and general support and friendship.
