HSC Campouts
HomeSchool Association of California
California
HSC honors the diversity of homeschoolers. This diversity is reflected in our camp-outs. Because our campers come from many different backgrounds and have different parenting styles, we have developed some processes to help create an enjoyable camping experience. We have found that for many camping families the community created at campouts extends to future campouts and beyond. Campouts are scheduled throughout the year.
Third Friday of each month
Pretend City Children's Museum Homeschool Days
Pretend City Children's Museum
Irvine, CA
Once a month, on the 3rd Friday of each month, they offer Homeschool students unlimited access to 17 interactive exhibits offering learning through fun experiences. All of the educational exhibits develop foundational math, reading, and science skills, while fostering curiosity and inspiration, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, organization, teamwork, self-confidence and socialization. Pretend City believes that the process of learning is as important as the product. A field experience to Pretend City offers students a learning experience through hands-on educational play. These activities surround students with challenging problems and absorbing questions.
